It's time for a shout out to our Cardinal Dollars for Scholars Chapter board members and volunteers! 

This year we brought on three more volunteers: We are always looking to grow our chapter. If you are interested in becoming a part of a great organization please drop your name in the comments below or email cardinaldollarsforscholars@gmail.com

Our current founding board members are: Nichole Chickering~ President, LeaAnn Clark, Mark Clark, Michelle Edwards, Melody Exline, Kelly Kayser, Bev Sloan, Stacy Davis, Sara Swanson, Dustin Carter, Brenda Stevens, Candice Fligg and Sherry VanBlaricom.

We have numerous volunteers that help make up our chapter by donating items for our various fundraisers: Cardinal Preschool - 6th grade classes, Kayser Soil Service, Eldon Raceway, Wapello County Fair, EClips on Main, Art Club, Trueline Design Company, City of Agency, McCune & Reed Insurance, Gullett Fence, Hy-Vee, Bonser Noodles, Richwell Carpet, Chickering Foundations, TC Concrete, Cardinal Football Club, FFA, Football Cheer, Youth Foundation, Music Boosters, Yearbook, Archery Club, PEO, Wayne's Tire, Living Hope Bible Church, Shirley Courtney & Darrell Batterson.

This is our 2nd year in full operation, it took us roughly a year and a half prior to become a certified Dollars for Scholars chapter. Year 1 we awarded $11,000 do our graduating class, this year we are set to award $14,075.

As part of Scholarship America's® national network of locally based, volunteer-driven Dollars for Scholars® chapters, our mission is to mobilize our community on behalf of postsecondary education success for our students.

Dollars for Scholars chapters like ours help hometown students achieve their educational goals by raising scholarship funds, establishing endowments, providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.
